The dedication page of Battle of the Brazos reads, "For Charlie, now your name will always live. . ."  You will have to read the book to find the significance of that phrase, but as the lone victim of the 1926 Cotton Palace Riot in Waco, Texas, the "Beyond the Book" page is in honor of Charlie Sessums and the Sessums family.  The personal photos of Charlie Sessums were provided to the author by Sharon Sessums.  Due to deadlines, these photos were not able to be included in the book.
